The Fellowship of Gospel Music ministers of Nigeria FOGMMON as its fondly called is the congregation of all gospel music ministers across board with the drive to promote unity, cohesion and brotherliness amongst Gospel artistes first and to canvas for fair treatment of same.

Mission

The Fellowship is to build and coordinate an effective gospel music movement through partnership, mobilization, capacity building, advocacy, public information dissemination, and participatory programming for the efficient administration and propagation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Gospel Music.

Vision

To promote Gospel Music in every sphere including but not limited to Radio, Television, social media and all other available platforms.

To win souls and reconcile people back to Jesus Christ.

To train, develop, and promote undeveloped, budding, or established gospel

History

This started two years ago under the incumbent President and visioner Mr. Asu Ekiye.

The fellowship has no doubt grown in leaps and bound as it now spread across 26 states of Nigeria and 4 states in the United States of America with more states to be inaugurated after her 2nd year anniversary celebration.

IN PURSUIT OF THESE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES, FELLOWSHIP OF GOSPEL MUSIC MINISTERS may:

  • Further the cause of its members through active participation in their programmes.
  • Conduct, operate, co-ordinate, participate in, and support gospel music endeavours, educational, legal, charitable, humanitarian and other publicly beneficial programmes and activities, whether they are programmes and activities of FELLOWSHIP OF GOSPEL MUSIC MINISTERS or of other physical persons and/or other legal entities both within and outside Nigeria whose vision is in consonance with the vision and values of the Fellowship.
  • Further the strategic mission, vision, goal and objectives of FELLOWSHIP OF GOSPEL MUSIC MINISTERS.
  • Advance the common goals and objectives of any network(s) or coalition(s) its affiliated to by enhancing collective credibility of, and improving the efficiency of programmes and activities conducted and operated by FELLOWSHIP OF GOSPEL MUSIC MINISTERS and or the network(s) and coalition(s) of which it is a member.
  • Conduct, operate, co-ordinate, participate in, as well as support other programmes, as the Board of Trustees may, in its sole discretion, deem constructive and appropriate in furtherance of the goals and objectives of the FELLOWSHIP, and in keeping with the provisions of the extant law of the Federal Republic of Nigeria governing non-profit and non-governmental organizations.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

  • To preach the gospel of Jesus Christ through music and decent entertainment generally.
  • To establish a platform that brings together gospel music artistes/ministers in Nigeria for bonding and mutual encouragement.
  • To protect the rights and interests of all members of the Fellowship by all legal means and to chart a new course in the Gospel Music scenery.
  • To establish a community of people sincerely committed to promotion of Gospel music.
  • To promote Gospel Music in every sphere including but not limited to Radio, Television, social media and all other available platforms.
  • To win souls and reconcile people back to Jesus Christ.
  • To train, develop, and promote undeveloped, budding, or established gospel music talents.
  • To entertain and educate Christians and non-Christians alike with positive messages and values.
  • To increase spiritual, moral, cultural, economic and social impact of gospel music.
  • To empower individuals and organisations that aim at promoting gospel music.
  • To organize the gospel music scene in Nigeria as well as the mainstreaming of the gospel music genre to a point of high significance and impact in the centre of the Nigerian Entertainment industry.
  • To network with churches, promoters, gospel music associations with a view to meeting the aspirations of members and other affiliates of the Fellowship.
  • To organize awards repertoire for members and other organisations in recognition of their efforts in the promotion of gospel music in Nigeria, Africa and the world at large.
